Reina P. Bender, M.D.

A native of Chester County, Dr. Bender joined the West Chester Gastrointestinal Group in 2007 after completing her gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. While in Boston, she completed a program in Clinical Effectiveness at the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Bender has received numerous academic, research and teaching awards and has published and presented scientific papers at several national meetings. She was recently named one of the “Top 40 Doctors Under 40” by Philadelphia Magazine, and a "Top Doc" by Main Line Today magazine. She enjoys running, traveling and teaching her children to cheer for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Alex S. Kuryan, M.D.

Dr. Kuryan received his undergraduate degree from Boston University magna cum laude and his medical degree from MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine. After completing his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at Temple University Hospital, Dr. Kuryan joined West Chester Gastrointestinal Group in 2005. He treats all gastrointestinal disorders, but has particular interests in capsule endoscopy, hepatobiliary disease, and gastrointestinal malignancies. He was recently named a "Top Doc" in Main Line Today magazine. Dr. Kuryan enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
