Thomas N. Dewar, MD

Dr. Thomas N. Dewar is board certified by the American Boards of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Since 1992, he has practiced in Fort Worth, where he has been active in hospital leadership activities. He served as President of the Tarrant Academy of Medicine in 2000.

Dr. Dewar was raised in Fort Worth and graduated from R. L. Paschal High School in 1979. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas with a B. A. in biochemistry in 1982. He attended Southwestern Medical School, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of California at San Francisco, where he served an additional year as Chief Resident.

He received his training in Gastroenterology at UCSF before returning to Fort Worth in 1992.

Dr. Dewar has been married to his high school sweetheart for 25 years and has two children. Besides his family, Dr. Dewar’s interests include reading, travel, golf, and scuba diving.

Dr. Allen earned his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. He did his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. He has been in private practice in Gainesville since 1989.

Dr. Allen is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Physicians, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and Georgia Gastroenterological and Endoscopic Society.

He is a member of the Medical Staff at Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he served as Chief of Staff 1999-2000. He is a member of the staff at the Gainesville Endoscopy Center. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. His practice is limited to Gastroenterology.

Dr. Clark earned his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Services in Indianapolis, Indiana. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He has been in private practice in Gainesville since 2003.

He is board certified in Internal Medicine He is a member of American College of Physicians, American Gastroenterological Association, & American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Sheraj Jacob, MD

Dr. Jacob earned his medical degree from Kerala University in Trivandrum, India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospital in Missouri. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Ochsner Clinics in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was previously in practice at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans from July 1999 to May 2006. He has been in private practice in Gainesville since 2006.

Dr. Jacob is certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of Royal College of Physicians, American College of Physicians, and American College of Gastroenterology.

John Kalarickal, MD

Dr. Kalarickal earned his medical degree from Ross University of Medicine and is highly trained in endoscopic procedures. He is a Gastroenterology Hospitalist and takes care of all patients admitted to NGMC.

Dr. Kalarickal, his wife and three children moved to Gainesville in July 2010.

A native of North Georgia, Dr. Moore received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. His specialty training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology was also at the Medical College of Georgia. He has been in practice in Gainesville since 1981.

Dr. Moore is certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of American and the Medical Association of Georgia.

He served as the president of the Hall County Medical Society in 1989-1990. He is a member of the medical staff at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he is Chief of Endoscopy. He is currently serving on the Health System Board of Northeast Georgia Medical Center. He is a member of the staff at the Gainesville Endoscopy Center. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. His practice is limited to Gastroenterology.

In his leisure time Dr. Moore enjoys exercise, golf, and snow skiing.

Namita Pareek, MD

Dr. Pareek earned her medical degree from Sawai Man Singh Medical Center. She is the first and only female Gastroenterologist in Gainesville.

Dr. Pareek, her husband and son moved to Gainesville in July 2010.
Vinayakesara (Vinni) M. Reddy, MD
Vinayakesara (Vinni) M. Reddy, MD

Dr. Reddy earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Medical College of Georgia.

He also completed a one-year Gastroenterology-Nutrition fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. He most recently served as Assistant Professor at Medical College of Georgia and as an attending physician and director of Endoscopy at Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Augusta. He has been in private practice in Gainesville since July 2007.

Neeraj Sharma, MD

Dr. Sharma completed his fellowship in GI and Endoscopic Ultrasound from the University of South Carolina. His medical degree was received from the Medical College of Georgia and his BS from Emory University in Atlanta.
Aja S. McCutchen, MD
Aja S. McCutchen, MD

Dr. McCutchen is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens where she received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and served as a National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Heart Lung and Blood Scholar. After completing her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. McCutchen returned to Georgia to complete her internship and residency at Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta. During her residency, she was a NIH Fellow in Academics Scholar and received the ‘Senior of the Year’ award. She also served as an attending physician at Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, Ga.

During her fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Dr. McCutchen served as Chief Fellow and also served as an emergency department physician for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Gainesville, Fla.

Prior to joining Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, Dr. McCutchen was in private practice in Athens, Ga., for two years. She has been published in the Southern Medical Journal, the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and the International Journal of Colorectal Disease. She is also a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

In addition to general gastroenterology, Dr. McCutchen has a special interest in women’s GI health and gastrointestinal neoplasms.

She joined the practice in 2013 and is very active in offering the CRH O’Regan System.

Olaitan A. Adeniji, MD
Olaitan A. Adeniji, MD

A native of Nigeria, Dr. Adeniji received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Ogun State University’s Obafemi Awolowo College of Health, in Sagamu. He attended the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he completed his internship and residency programs in internal medicine.

He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama, where he also served as a clinical instructor. He also served as an emergency room consultant for the Thomasville Infirmary in Thomasville, Alabama.

Dr. Adeniji is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association. In addition, he holds certifications from the American College of Surgeons’ Advanced Trauma Life Support course and the American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Program.

He joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2003.

Srinivasa (Srini) R. Ayinala, MD

Dr. Ayinala began his medical training in Tirupathi, AP, India at S.V. Medical College. After completing a rotating internship at S.V.R.R. Hospital in India, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Kings Brooks Jewish Medical Center at the State University of New York in Brooklyn, where he served as chief resident from 1998 to 1999.

He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Dr. Ayinala is trained in advanced endoscopic techniques such as ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound, and has a special interest in treating gastrointestinal cancers. A member of the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians, he has been in practice since 2003 and joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2005.
