Dr. Barish graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1982 (Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society). He completed an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1985. In 1987, he completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He moved to Ocala in 1989.

He was certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1985 and the American Board of Gastroenterology in 1987. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and the Florida Gastroenterology Society.

Dr. McClary graduated from the College of Pharmacy at Ohio State University in 1978. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio, in 1981 (Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society). He completed his Internal Medicine House staff Training at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo in 1984.

In 1986, Dr. McClary completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Florida, College of Medicine in Gainesville, Fla. He has been in private practice in Ocala since 1986. He was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1984 and the American Board of Gastroenterology in 1987.

Miguel A. Ramos, MD

Dr. Ramos graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in 1990 and the MD Ponce School of Medicine in 1994. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency in 1997 and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology in 2000 at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He moved to Ocala in July 2000.

He was certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1997 and the American Board of Gastroenterology in 2000. Dr. Ramos is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

Dr. Rumalla graduated from Osmania University, Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal, India, in 1968. He completed a Residency at Brooklyn Cumberland Medical Center in 1974. He completed Gastroenterology Fellowships at Brooklyn Cumberland Medical Center in 1977 and Brookdale Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1978.

He was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1977 and the American Board of Gastroenterology in 1983.

Dr. Van Eldik graduated from Calvin College and Seminary in Michigan in 1976 and from the University of Florida School of Medicine in 1980 (Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.) He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville in 1983.

In 1985, he completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. He moved to Ocala in July of 1985 and joined Dr. Rumalla in private practice. He was certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1983 and the American Board of Gastroenterology in 1985.

Dr. Van Eldik is past president of the Marion County Medical Society and Florida Gastroenterological Society.

Ashwin Rumalla, MD

Dr. Rumalla has been with Gastroenterology Associates of Ocala for over ten years. He completed Medical School at the University of Missouri-Kansas and then went on to complete his Residency at the University of Kansas. He trained at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota during his Fellowship and Dr. Rumalla is board certified in Gastroenterology.
