Christopher A. Brown, M.D.
Dr. Brown is a cum laude graduate of Pace University in New York, N.Y., where he received both the graduating Senior Scholastic Achievement Award and the Graduating Biology Service Achievement Award. He received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and completed his internship and residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
During his medical training, Dr. Brown received the Hale House Service Achievement Award, the Outstanding Second Year Medical Student Award and the National Medical Fellowship Award. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Gastroenterology Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr.Brown sees patients at the Stockbridge and Fayetteville locations.
Hitesh R. Chokshi, M.D.
Dr. Chokshi joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 1996 and is a specialist in all aspects of digestive disease, particularly pancreaticobiliary endoscopy. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and performs both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Chokshi continued his studies at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, receiving his medical degree in 1986. He completed his internship and residency in the Department of Medicine at the Robert Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. In 1989, Dr. Chokshi joined the laboratory of David H. Alpers at Washington University as a research associate in the Department of Medicine. He later completed a clinical fellowship in gastroenterology at Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Chokshi was subsequently appointed interventional endoscopist in the section of pancreaticobiliary endoscopy and remained at the University until 1996.
Dr. Chokshi is a member of the American Gastroenterologic Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
He sees patients in both the Stockbridge and Fayetteville locations.
Mark D. Edge, M.D.
Dr. Edge, a National Merit Scholar and recipient of the Cambridge Scholarship, is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. He also holds a masters degree in organic chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was awarded a Department of Energy Research Fellowship. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
He received his medical degree from Emory University and completed his internship, residency and a fellowship in gastroenterology there as well.
Dr. Edge previously served as a research associate at the Atlanta VA Hospital and as a data abstractor at the AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology.

Timothy B. Gilrane, M.D.
A graduate of Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, Dr. Gilrane received his medical degree from the University of Nordestana in the Dominican Republic. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the New Rochelle Hospital Medical Center and a fellowship in digestive disease at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Dorns Veterans Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. He then served as assistant professor of medicine at Dorns Veterans Hospital for six years. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Gilrane is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Pancreatic Association, the American Federation Clinical Research and the Medical Association of Atlanta.
He is a specialist in pancreatic diseases and joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 1992. Dr. Gilrane sees patients at the Stockbridge and Fayetteville locations.
Sumalatha Satoor, M.D.
A native of India, Dr. Satoor earned a degree in biology from L.A.G.J. College in Machilipatnam, India and then received her medical degree from Guntur Medical College in Guntur, India. After an internship at Government General Hospital in Guntur, India, Dr. Satoor came to the U.S. and completed her medical residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2000, she completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Satoor is a member of the Indian Medical Council, the American College of Physicians and the American Gastroenterology Association.
