Shawkat H. Kero, MD is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and by the American Board of Geriatric Medicine.

Dr. Kero graduated from Seth G.S. Medical College, Bombay, India. Upon graduation he relocated to New York City for his post-graduate training and completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Bronx VA Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Kero has been in private practice since 1984 specializing in Gastroenterology in Brooksville, Florida. He is associated with HCA Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville and Spring Hill Regional Hospitals, Hernando Endoscopy and Surgery Center and All Saints Surgery Center.

Since 2003, Dr. Kero has been a principal investigator overseeing numerous clinical trials.
