Dr. John J. DeGuide
Dr. John J. DeGuide is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist, and joined Rockford Gastroenterology Associates, Ltd in 2003 . Dr. DeGuide completed his medical school at Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, residency in Internal Medicine, and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland AFB in Texas. Prior to moving to Rockford, Dr. DeGuide held the position of chief of the Gastroenterology at Wright-Patterson USAF Medical Center in Ohio. Additionally he was the former co-director of the GI department at Rockford Health System.
Dr. DeGuide is a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology and of the American College of Physicians. Dr. DeGuide is on the Executive Board of the Winnebago County Medical Society. He also is a delegate to the Illinois State Medical Society. Dr. DeGuide is trained in the broad discipline of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Christopher M. Gibbs, MD
Dr. Gibbs joined Rockford Gastroenterology Associates in 2008. Dr. Gibbs obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California San Diego and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. He completed his residency and chief residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic and his gastroenterology fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Gibbs is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
Dr. Gibbs is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Physicians, and American Medical Association.
Dr. Gibbs is trained in the broad discipline of gastroenterology and hepatology. He has an interest in inflammatory bowel disease.
Sunil S. Patel, MD
Dr. Patel is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist. Dr. Patel completed his medical school at New Jersey Medical School, a residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston, and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at University of Massachusetts-memorial Medical Center/University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Patel is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Patel is trained in the broad discipline of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Dr. Donald E. Vidican
Dr. Donald E. Vidican is clinical associate professor of medicine and director of the Digestive Disease Unit at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois. He is in private practice at Rockford Gastroenterology Associates, Ltd. Dr. Vidican earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, Missouri. Dr. Vidican completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Vidican is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Vidican has served both as Past President of the Medical Section and Staff President of OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Dr. Vidican is on the active staff at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center and SwedishAmerican Hospital.
On a personal side, Dr. Vidican enjoys family time spent with his wife and two teenage children. He is an advocate of an active lifestyle. Dr. Vidican enjoys running, biking and walking his dogs.
Dr. Vidican's special interests include treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis) and argon plasma coagulation treatment of polyps and vascular lesions of the gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Vidican welcomes the challenge and opportunity to care for patients with gastrointestinal diseases.
