Jan P. Kamler, MD
Dr. Kamler grew up in the Czech Republic and attended medical school there at the University of Palacky School of Medicine. Upon completion of medical school, he received the President’s Award, the highest award in Czechoslovakian medical education. In 1994, he was awarded participation in the Young Clinician Program at the 10th World Congress of Gastroenterology in Los Angeles, CA, as one of the five most promising gastroenterologists under the age of 35 in Czechoslovakia.
He repeated post medical school training in the United States, completing his internal medicine residency at the Harbor Hospital Center in Baltimore, MD, and his GI fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. He moved to Reno in 2001 and joined Gastroenterology Consultants, Ltd.
Dr. Kamler is Board-certified and has a special interest in Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD),Barrett’s Disease, and the treatment of hemorrhoids.
When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Kamler is enjoying time with his wife and two children. His hobbies include gardening, art collections, biking, hiking, and traveling.
Eric M. Osgard MD, FACG
Originally from Placentia, CA, Dr. Osgard earned a BA degree in Biology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He then joined the military and attained his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his residency and internship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, and his GI fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. After serving and practicing Gastroenterology in the military for many years, Dr. Osgard moved to Reno to join Gastroenterology Consultants, Ltd. in August 2007.
Dr. Osgard is Board-certified in Gastroenterology and a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. He enjoys all areas of gastroenterology and hepatology. His special interest is in the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal disease especially Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and Barrett’s esophagus. In addition, performing Endoscopy (EGD), Colonoscopy, hemorrhoidal ligation therapy and Capsule Endoscopy are procedural areas of interest.
In his spare time, Dr. Osgard enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. His hobbies include skiing, fly-fishing, back-packing, running and reading.
Craig M. Sande, MD, FACG
Dr. Craig Sande, a native of Reno, NV, received his undergraduate education at Stanford University and completed his medical education at Washington University in St. Louis and internal medicine residency at Jewish Hospital of St. Louis. He completed his GI fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Dr. Sande is Board-certified and has been specializing in gastrointestinal and liver care since 1990. He believes that careful listening is a critical skill needed to diagnose or treat difficult gastrointestinal problems. Dr. Sande has a strong interest in the application of computers in medical care and is Chairman of the Washoe County Medical Society Task Force on Physician Computer Networking. He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and President and CEO of Gastroenterology Consultants, Ltd., and presently the Nevada Governor for the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Sande enjoys spending his free time with his family. He also enjoys mountain biking, telemark skiing, snowboarding, woodworking and amateur radio.
