Amit Ahuja, M.D.

Dr. Amit Ahuja received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine. He performed his Gastroenterology fellowship at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans from 2001-2004 where he received extensive training in therapeutic endoscopy.

Dr. Ahuja, who is board certified in Gastroenterology, founded Pinnacle Gastroenterology at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in 2005. He is proficient in various GI procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, ERCP, and small bowel enteroscopy. He has a special interest in screening for colon cancer and in endoscopic treatment of colon polyps as well as treatment of peptic ulcer disease, h. pylori, GERD, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Ahuja regularly attends seminars and conferences to learn about the latest information on developments in the field of Gastroenterology.
