Wagih Mando, MD, FACS

Dr. Mando is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Mando finished his General surgical training at New York Medical College, Mount Vernon Hospital, New York. In 1986, he completed a four-year Vascular, Thoracic and Cardiac surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas. During that time, he trained and worked with Drs. Michael DeBakey, Denton Cooley, Stanley Crawford and other pioneers in the world of surgery.

Dr. Mando has been practicing General and Vascular surgery in the greater New Orleans area for many years, his scope of experience is diverse, reflecting his training and practice background. This includes all abdominal surgeries, stomach, hernias, thyroid and parathyroid surgeries. Colon and rectal surgeries that include colon cancer, fistulas, fissures, prolapse, anal lesions, infections and the non-surgical removal of hemorrhoids. As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Mando performs all vascular procedures in addition to varicose veins treatment without surgery using laser and injection sclerotherapy.
