Edward L. Cattau, Jr., M.D., F.A.C.G., F.A.S.G.E.

Dr. CatteauDr. Cattau is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His internal medicine training was at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital and his GI fellowship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland where he subsequently became Chief of Gastroenterology. While there, Dr. Cattau was attending gastroenterologist to President Ronald Reagan. After leaving the Navy he became an Associate Professor at Georgetown University and Director of Clinical Endoscopy at the National Institutes of Health. He left Georgetown in 1990 to join the Memphis Gastroenterology Group.

Dr. Cattau is an active member of several professional societies and has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the American College of Gastroenterology. He has published over 175 abstracts, articles and chapters in medical journals and textbooks and is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine.

Michael J. Levinson, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.G., A.A.S.L.D.

Dr. LevinsonDr. Levinson was born in Brooklyn, New York. He obtained a Bachelor's degree at the University of Florida and graduated from the University of Tennessee Medical School with honors. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Levinson is an active member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease and the European Society for the Study of Liver Disease. Dr. Levinson is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and Chief of the GI Teaching Service at the Baptist Memorial Hospital where he has received the Outstanding Teacher Award on numerous occasions.

Dr. Levinson has been practicing In Memphis, Tennessee since 1977 with special interest in Liver Disease.

Dr. Levinson is Board Certified in Gastroenterologist.

T. Carter Towne, M.D.

Dr. TowneDr. Towne is a native of Memphis, TN. He graduated from Memphis State University and received his M.D. degree from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis. His internship, residency and gastroenterology fellowship were completed through the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dr. Towne is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee. He is Chairman of the Board of MetroCare Physicians and a member of the Board of Governors of Health Choice. Currently, he also serves as a member of the Methodist-LeBonheur Healthcare Board of Governors. He has been in practice since 1983.
