Bill Hughes, M.D.
Dr. Hughes is board certified in Gastroenterology. After graduating from Baylor University, he earned his Medical Degree at Emory University School of Medicine, Cum Laude. He did his residency at Southwestern Medical School Hospital and Parkland Hospital in Dallas. His Fellowship in Gastroenterology was at Southwestern Medical School Hospital in Dallas.
Dr. Hughes has been in practice since 1980. He belongs to numerous affiliations including AMA, AGA, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Texas Medical Foundation. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board, Good Shepherd Medical Center Operation Board and Chairman, Medical Executive Committee @ Good Shepherd Medical Center.
Dr. Hughes enjoys golf, hunting, fishing and traveling with his wife Lou Anne.
Julian Deese, M.D.
Dr. Deese is board certified in Gastroenterology. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, he earned his Medical Degree at University of Oklahoma Medical School. He did his residency at University of Florida and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at University of Kentucky.
Dr. Deese has been in practice since 1980. He belongs to numerous affiliations including AMA, AGA, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
Dr. Deese serves on the Good Shepherd Foundation Board and enjoys tennis, gardening and travel.
Bill Torres, M.D.
Dr. Torres is board certified in Gastroenterology. After graduating from University of Texas at Austin, he earned his Medical Degree at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He did his residency in Nashville, TN, at Vanderbilt University and Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Torres has been in practice since 1993. He belongs to numerous affiliations including AMA, AGA, American Society of Gastroenterology Endoscopy and Texas Medical Association. He currently serves as Chairman, Division of Gastroenterology, Good Shepherd Medical Center.
Dr. Torres enjoys fishing, volleyball and traveling with his family.
Daryl Buckelew, M.D.
Dr. Buckelew is board certified in Gastroenterology. After graduating from Trinity University, he earned his Medical Degree at University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio. He did his residency at Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University and Fellowship at University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio.
Dr. Buckelew has been in practice since 1999. He belongs to numerous affiliations including AMA, AGA, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Texas Medical Association. He currently serves on the Executive Committee Board at Diagnostic Clinic of Longview.
Dr. Buckelew enjoys fishing, volleyball and hiking.
Olusola Olofinlade, M.D.
Dr. Olofinlade, a native of Nigeria, is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. After graduating from the University of Ibadan, he earned his Medical Degree at St. Luke�s Roosevelt Hospital, Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He also did his residency at St. Luke�s Roosevelt Hospital. His Fellowship in Gastroenterology was at New York Medical College.
Dr. Olofinlade has been in practice since 2001. He belongs to numerous affiliations including AMA, AGA, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Olofinlade enjoys sports and traveling with his family.
Shayne Skarda, M.D.
Dr. Skarda is board certified in Gastroenterology. After graduating from New Mexico University, he earned his Medical Degree at University of New Mexico. He did his residency and fellowship at University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio. He earned his certification from University of Montreal for EUS (Endosonography.)
Dr. Skarda has been in practice since 2005. He belongs to numerous affiliations including AMA, AGA, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. He currently serves on the Recruiting Committee at Diagnostic Clinic of Longview, and participates with Diagnostic Research Studies.
Dr. Skarda enjoys bodybuilding, fishing, mountain biking and skiing.
Perry Lewis, M.D.
Dr. Lewis is board certified in Gastroenterology. After graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center, he earned his Medical Degree at Baylor University Medical Center. He also did his residency and fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center.
Dr. Lewis has been in practice since 1994. He belongs to numerous affiliations including AMA, AGA, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Texas Society of Gastroenterology.
