William R. Maranon, MD, FACS

Dr. MaranonA board-certified surgeon, William R. Maranon, MD, FACS, is Medical Director of The Center for Colorectal Health in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He has also served as President of All American Surgical in Las Vegas since 2000.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Maranon has more than 20 years of experience in general surgery.  He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, and his medical degree at the University of California, San Diego.  Following graduation, he completed both his surgical Internship and Residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.  

In 1987, Dr. Maranon entered private practice in Santa Barbara for five years.  He also served as a Staff Physician at The Med Center and at Schick Shadel Hospital in Santa Barbara during this time.  As a volunteer physician for Aeromedicos of Santa Barbara, Dr. Maranon participated in medical missions to Mexico from 1989-1994.  Additionally, he volunteered as Medical Director for the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission for two years.

After briefly relocating to Cleveland, Ohio, to work, teach and complete an additional three-year residency at Meridia Huron Road / Hillcrest Hospital, Dr. Maranon settled in Las Vegas, where he joined Davidson-Rosen Chartered General Surgery as an employee and partner from 1996-1999.  He served as Instructor of General Surgery at Touro University in Las Vegas from 1999-2001.

Brian Citro, MD

Dr CitroA board-certified surgeon, Brian Citro, MD, is an Associate Physician of The Center for Colorectal Health in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He also operates his own private surgical practice in the north end of Las Vegas.   

Dr. Citro was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California.  He attended California State University, Hayward where he received his undergraduate degree in Psychology. He went on to The Ross University School of Medicine to earn his medical degree, graduating with High Honors. Following his medical degree, he completed a Surgical Internship and a Residency in General Surgery with Synergy Medical Education Alliance at Michigan State University, serving his last year as Chief Resident.  He moved to Las Vegas in early 2006 to set up his private practice.

Stephen Vargo, MD

Dr. Stephen Vargo is a Board Eligible General Surgeon and graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Originally from Ohio, Dr. Vargo joined the U.S. Navy following graduation from medical school. He received the Health Professions Scholarship from the US Navy to attend medical school. He commenced his active duty time upon graduation. He completed his surgical internship at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA and subsequently was selected for flight surgery training in Pensacola, FL.

Dr. Vargo served two years with a US Marine Corp. helicopter squadron before returning to San Diego to serve with a C-130 refueler Squadron. Following 9/11/01 he deployed to serve in Afghanistan, traveling to many different regions of Europe and the Pacific. During those years he served as a flight surgeon stationed with USMC Squadrons both on land and on aircraft carriers.

Dr. Vargo moved to Las Vegas from Virginia Beach, VA in September 2009. He is building his general surgery practice on quality patient care and cooperative physician interaction. In his spare time he enjoys fine dining, independent films, snow skiing and live music.
