Scott E. Hallgren, DO, FACP

Dr. Hallgren graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Zoology. He then obtained the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery from the COMS in DesMoines, Iowa. Postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology was done as a member of the US Army Medical Corps where he was stationed at various times at Ft. Benning, Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, and William Beaumont Army Medical Center.

Dr. Hallgren held multiple positions in the Medical Corps including Physician Instructor of the Year twice, Chief of Endoscopic Services, and Assistant Chief of Gastroenterology. He received the Army's Meritorious Service Medal for his work in developing an outpatient state of the art endoscopy center for FAMC.

In 1990 he left the army for private practice at the Florida Center for Gastroenterology in Largo, Florida. In private practice he has served as Chief of Endoscopic services, Chief of Medicine, and Vice Chief of Staff at various local hospitals. He helped found the Tampa Bay Regional Surgery Center and served as Medical Director. He is currently active in endoscopic management of gastroentestinal disorders and the treatment of hemorrhoidal disease including CRH hemorrhoidal banding.

Michael I. Schulman, DO, FACG

Dr. Schulman graduated from the State University of New York with a B.A. in Psychobiology. He then obtained the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University Health Sciences College of Osteopathic in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde, New York and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Schulman is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG), which is a high honor in the field of gastroenterology.

Dr. Schulman has held several Clinical Instructor positions in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has been honored by the Muscular Dystrophy Association, as well as for research achievement at SUNY - Binghamton, and for Leadership at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Schulman has been a distinguished speaker at many national conferences and lectures in the Tampa Bay area in the field of gastroenterology.

In 1995, Dr. Schulman joined a private practice, Florida Center for Gastroenterology in Largo, FL where he is currently active in the management of Gastrointestinal disorders and the treatment of hemorrhoidal disease using the CRH-O�Regan Disposable Hemorrhoid Banding System.
