Jeffrey Mazin, MD, FACS

Dr. Jeffrey Mazin is a board certified and re-certified general and laparoscopic surgeon. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Prior to his formal medical training he was a research assistant in biochemistry at Rutgers University and Temple University School of Medicine.

Dr. Mazin received his medical degree from Temple University Health Sciences Center. He did further training at that institution and at the very prestigious Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Both institutions are icons of research, diagnosis and treatment of colon and rectal diseases.

Dr. Mazin was the chief resident in surgery at the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He then became an associate clinical professor of surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. After re-locating to San Diego, Dr. Mazin held many hospital positions and served as the chief of surgery of the Mission Bay Hospital.

As a qualified medical evaluator for the State of California in industrial medicine, Dr. Mazin renders expert opinions for the injured workers of California. His being fluent in Spanish is indispensible in this capacity.
