Charles Hertz, M.D.

Dr. HertzBoard certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, Dr. Charles Hertz earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania. His residency in internal medicine was at the University of Virginia; his fellowship in gastroenterology was at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Hertz has been practicing gastroenterology in Jackson, Tennessee, since 1981. He is a former Chief of the Medical Staff at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, past Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the hospital and a past president of the West Tennessee Physicians' Alliance. He is presently on the Board of the Tennessee Medical Foundation, and also has served on the boards of various health care organizations and on the board of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Hertz, who is married, enjoys hiking and photography.

 

Robert Hollis, M.D.

Dr. HollisDr. Hollis, a gastroenterologist, is a medical graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. After an internship and residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Hollis returned to Texas for a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Texas in San Antonio. He was one of the first physicians in Jackson, Tennessee, to do therapeutic ERCP, achalasia balloon dilation, and esophageal stent placement. Dr. Hollis was named Physician of the Year at Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare of Jackson in 1995 and was previously Chief of Medicine at the hospital. He and his wife have two children. Dr. Hollis enjoys golf and tennis.

 

Michael Ibach, M.D.

Dr. IbachBoard certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, Dr. Michael Ibach earned his medical degree at the University of South Florida. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center and his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Louisiana State University. He has additional training in ERCP. Dr. Ibach is a past president of the West Tennessee Physicians' Alliance. He also is active in several medical committees in the Jackson, Tennessee, community. He and his wife have two children. He enjoys time with his family, reading and outdoor sports.

 

Daniel Kayal, D.O.

Dr. KayalDr. Daniel Kayal, board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. His internship and residency in internal medicine were at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, N.J. His fellowship in gastroenterology was at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Mich. Dr. Kayal and his wife, Melanie, have four children. He enjoys spending his extra time with his family.

 

Ami Naik, M.D.

Dr. NaikDr. Ami Naik, a gastroenterologist practicing in Jackson, Tennessee, is a medical graduate of the University of Tennessee, Memphis Health Science Center. Her internship and residency in internal medicine were at Saint Louis University Hospital. Her fellowship in gastroenterology was at the University of Tennessee, Memphis Health Science Center. Dr. Naik is board certified in internal medicine and in gastroenterology. Dr. Naik and her husband, Dr. Christopher Mitchell, have a daughter named Radha Carolyn. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
