Jeffrey H. Widmeyer, MD, FACS

Dr. Widmeyer grew up in Roanoke, VA and graduated from Cave Spring High School in 1983. He graduated from UVA in 1987 and in 1991 he graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University's Medical College of Virginia School of Medicine. He went on to complete his General Surgery Residency at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in 1996, and Vascular Surgery Fellowship in 1997. He has been in private practice in Lynchburg since 1998. Dr. Widmeyer is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Widmeyer has served as a general surgeon in Christian mission hospitals in Kenya and Niger.

Greg Alty, MD, FACS

Dr. Alty is a Lynchburg native and a graduate of E C Glass High School. He graduated from Duke University in 1982 and in 1986 he graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University's Medical College of Virginia School of Medicine. He went on to complete his General Surgery Residency at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in 1991. He has been in private practice in Lynchburg since 1991. Dr. Alty is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Alty has served as a general surgeon in Christian mission hospitals in Kenya and Niger.
