Nolan Perez, MD

Dr. Perez earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and a Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After medical school he served in the US Navy as a Medical Corps Officer and received the Navy Commendation and Navy Achievement Medals. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the Regional Academic Health Center (RAHC) in Harlingen, Texas and fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Education Coordinator for Gastroenterology at the RAHC.

Dr. Perez has a passion for mentoring, education and community service, and he serves on several boards in the education, health care and business realms. He is an Expert Panelist for the Texas Medical Board and received the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award with Commendation for his commitment to continuing medical education.

Dr. Perez has expertise in the full spectrum of gastrointestinal illnesses and performs the most up-to-date diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures. In addition to treating patients at his office, Dr. Perez provides services at Harlingen Medical Center, Valley Baptist Medical Center, and Platinum Surgery Center.
