Subodh K. Lal, M.D.
Dr. Lal received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts in 1997. After completing his Internal Medicine residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, he did a Gastroenterology fellowship at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Lal has been practicing in Austell, Georgia since 2003 with special interest in pancreaticobiliary medicine and ERCP and colon cancer screening. He is a member of several GI societies including the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
Dr. Lal is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
Robert M. Strauss, M.D.
Dr. Strauss received his medical degree from the UNAM in Mexico City which is where he grew up. He then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University and went on to do his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He then returned to Atlanta and joined the Digestive Disease Division at Emory University School of Medicine becoming Chief of Gastrointestinal Oncology at the Emory Clinic and Emory University Hospital.
Dr. Strauss has been in private practice for 10 years and enjoys all aspects of Gastroenterology but has a special interest in Colon Cancer and other gastrointestinal cancers, IBD and liver diseases. Dr. Strauss has authored numerous articles and book chapters. He is a member of numerous local and national medical societies. He was also a member of the Education Committee of the AGA. He has been on the board of the Georgia CCFA chapter and also participates in voluntary activities with them. Dr. Strauss has 2 daughters and enjoys his time with them. He also enjoys travelling and classical music.
Jeffrey L. Kim, M.D.
Dr. Kim is board certified in gastroenterology. He received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine Washington, District of Columbia. He did his fellowship in gastroenterology at Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn, New York. He is a member of American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He has co-authored several publications. He is married with one child.
Madhuri R. Meka, MD
Dr. Meka is board certified in internal medicine. She received her medical degree from Andhra Medical College, University of Health Sciences, Visakhapatnam, India. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Drexel University, Philadelphia and her fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy. She is married with 2 children.
Michael J. Grupka, MD
Dr. Grupka is board certified in gastroenterology and has been practicing in the Atlanta area since 2008. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Grupka enjoys all areas of GI. His outside interests include sports, travel and spending time with family.
