Vishal Bhagat, M.D.
Dr. Bhagat was born in India, where he finished his medical education and Internal Medicine residency at Gujarat University in Ahmedabad. He emigrated to the United States in 2003 and completed another residency in Internal Medicine at the State University of New York in Buffalo, serving an additional year as Chief Resident in Medicine. He subsequently completed additional studies in Liver Disease and Transplantation at the University of Miami before returning to SUNY Buffalo for his fellowship in gastroenterology.
Dr. Bhagat is board certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He joined Gastroenterology Consultants of Southwest Virgina in October, 2010. He is particularly interested in colon cancer prevention, liver diseases, and inflammatory bowel diseases.
Donald G. Seibert, M.D., FACG
Dr. Seibert obtained his bachelor's degree from Bucknell University and completed medical studies at George Washington University. He then completed Internal Medicine residency, including a year as Chief Resident, at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at West Virginia University where he remained on the faculty, attaining the rank of full professor.
Dr. Seibert joined Gastroenterology Consultants of Southwest Virginia in 2002. He is especially interested in swallowing disorders and therapeutic endoscopy, including removal of large polyps. Residing with his family in Roanoke County, Dr. Seibert enjoys hiking, bicycling, and both downhill and crosscountry skiing.
