Dr. Mahajan completed a surgical residency at the University of Pune ,India, and practiced as a colorectal surgeon for 10 years with wide experience in anorectal surgery. This experience now complements his expertise as a gastroenterologist performing banding for hemorrhoids. Presently he is an Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology at Mt. Sinai affiliate Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica , Queens and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor Department of Medicine at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury. He is on staff at North Shore University Hospital In Manhasset and Plainview. His clinical interests include General Gastroenterology with special focus on Colon Cancer Screening, treating Anorectal Disorders like Hemorrhoids and Anal Fissures and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
