Craig Owens, M.D.

Dr. OwensCraig Owens, M.D. is board certified in general surgery by The American Board of Surgery. He graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with a degree in chemistry. Dr. Owens finished at the top of his class (Alpha Omega Alpha) at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston in 1990. He then completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center and furthered his training with a fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery in Richmond, Virginia. In July, 2000, Dr. Owens was co surgeon in the first laparoscopic robotic surgery ever performed in the United States using the DaVinci robot. This event was extensively covered on the national news and print media. Since that time Dr. Owens has performed all aspects of general and colorectal surgery.
