Luis Arturi, MD

Currently in private practice as an independent consultant for a Multi-Specialty Clinic, Dr. Luis Arturi has been practicing clinical Gastroenterology since graduating from fellowship in Summer 2000. From Italian-Argentinian background, but raised in Puerto Rico, he attended college in his hometown Mayagüez and continued his training in Medicine at the University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine. Following his military career, which he started as an Army Reservist Combat Medic, he changed branches of Services and was commissioned in the Air Force, serving his country while training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.

Over the past 10 years, Dr. Arturi has been appointed as Chief of Gastroenterology of the 59th Medical Group, Yokota Air Base, Japan, Chief of Gastroenterology of Malcolm Grow Medical Center, Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland and Director of Endoscopic Services at Clínica Las Américas, Hato Rey. At this time, he is a dedicated solo practitioner at Clínica Las Américas, Guaynabo. His main areas of interest include Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Colorectal Cancer Screening and Surveillance and Hemorrhoidal Disease.
