James E. White, MD, FACS

James E. White, M.D., F.A.C.S. is an experienced General surgeon in private practice in Chattanooga since 1996. Dr. White graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Medical College of Georgia in 1990. Where upon, he completed a General surgery residency at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga in 1996. He is board certified in General Surgery by the prestigious American Board of Surgery and is a full Fellow of the American College of Surgery. He is a Diplomat with the American Board of Phlebology, the study of venous diseases. During his undergraduate studies, Dr. White resided in Guadalajara, Mexico completing classes at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. During that time Dr. White's Spanish improved greatly and he found a special place in his heart for Mexico. With the change to an office based General surgery practice, Dr. White and his family have been able to make medical/surgical mission trips to Mexico over the past 2 years through the International Medical Assistance organization--IMA-missions.org. Dr. White is a [14-year] veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve, retiring as a Lt. Col. He lives with his wife Casi and two sons in Cleveland, Tennessee.
