John K. Corless, MD

Dr. Corless received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. in 1977. After completing his internal medicine residency and serving a year as Chief of Medical Residents at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC he did a Gastroenterology fellowship at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA.

Dr. Corless has been in private practice in Charleston, SC since 1983 and is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He is a founding member of Charleston Gastroenterology Specialists and the Charleston Endoscopy Center as well as a clinical associate professor of medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Special interests include diagnostic and interventional endoscopy of the upper and lower GI tract, capsule enteroscopy, hemorrhoid treatment and prevention, ERCP, placement of plastic & metal stents, and laser lithotripsy.
