Mike Bismar, MD, FACG

Dr. Mike Bismar treats patients for liver and digestive tract diseases at the Gastroenterology Center in Fort Worth, TX where he serves as the center's medical director. Along with his hard-working and dedicated staff, Dr. Bismar offers advanced treatment and procedures while focusing on providing excellent care.

Dr. Bismar graduated with suma cum laude honors from the university of Houston-Downtown. He finished his college as the top in his class with a degree in Mathematics. His medical degree was obtained at University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1998. Following his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, he completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas at Houston. He received extensive training and participated in research projects at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center � one of the most advanced cancer centers in the world.

Dr. Bismar is named the vice chief of the Internal Medicine Department at Huguley Memorial Medical Center for 2009-2010.� He is a member of the medical executive committee and the governing board at the Doctors� Surgery Center at Huguley.

Dr. Bismar is a is fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG). He is also a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), American Medical Association (AMA), Texas Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy (TSGE) and Tarrant County Medical Society.
