Mukhtar Anees, MD
Dr. Mukhtar Anees established the Southwest Gastroenterology Clinic in 1982 where he daily lives his mission to provide the best of digestive health care to his patients. Dr. Anees is proud of his diligent and dedicated staff, which serves with him in his daily mission.
Dr. Anees obtained his Gastroenterology Fellowship in 1980 from the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX, where he worked for two years, providing comprehensive, high-quality health care to our U.S. soldiers and their families. He is also board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology & Metabolism, and is associated with numerous medical societies, including the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, American College of Physicians, Texas Medical Association, and Tarrant County Medical Society.
Dr. Anees is well respected in the medical community. He has appeared on local television and has been a guest speaker at numerous organizational meetings discussing the importance of the screening colonoscopy exam. Dr. Anees has partnered with the American Cancer Society and also hosts free health fairs annually in an effort to educate the public about colon cancer prevention. In 2004, Dr. Anees was named "Top Doc" by Fort Worth, Texas magazine.
Dr. Anees has served actively in the United States Army and is currently a Lt. Colonel in the United States Army Reserves. He is devoted to his family and enjoys gardening as a hobby.
Muhammad A. Memon, MD
Dr. Memon is board certified in Gastroenterology and Clinical Nutrition. He obtained his Gastroenterology Fellowship from the University of Louisville Affiliated Hospital in Louisville, KY. He received his Endocrinology & Metabolism Fellowships in Sacramento, CA from the University of California Davis Medical Center. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine (Gastroenterology and Hepatology) at University of Louisville, Kentucky and is a member of American College of Gastroenterology since 1995.
Dr. Memon has been in private practice since completion of his fellowship in 1999 initially in Kentucky and joined Southwest Gastroenterology Clinic Burleson, TX in 2005.
Dr. Memon resides in Fort Worth with his wife and two children. His hobbies include playing Golf and Tennis.
