Center Medical Director:  Houshang Hakhamimi, MD, FACS

A board-certified surgeon, Houshang Hakhamimi, MD, FACS, is the Medical Director of The Center for Colorectal Health in Beverly Hills.  He is also Vice-Chief of Surgery at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital in Los Angeles.  A past Board President of the Physicians of Greater LA, Dr. Hakhamimi was named California Physician of the Year in 1983. 

Dr. Hakhamami began his career as a major in the U.S. Army from 1967-1969, serving as Chief of Surgery in two hospitals in Vietnam.  Other past leadership positions include Chief of Surgery, Chief of Staff and Representative at Large to the Executive Medical Council at Temple Community Hospital in Los Angeles.

After earning his undergraduate degree at UCLA, Dr. Hakhamimi attended medical school at the University of California at Irvine.  He completed a Residency in Surgery at the Veterans Administration Hospital and Ohio State Teaching Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, as well as a Residency in Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles.
