Cynthia Mullen, MD
Dr. Mullen received her Bachelor’s degree in biology at Loyola University, New Orleans and her medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed her internal medicine training, including her chief residency year, at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, Hawaii. She then went on to finish her fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. She is board certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
Though new to the Montgomery County medical community, she is already a member of the Montgomery County Medical Society womens’ committee and young physicians’ committee. On the national level, she is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology Women in GI Committee.
William Stern, MD
Dr. Stern is board certified in Gastroenterology. He is a native of Los Angeles, and earned his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He completed his training at the George Washington University and the Veterans Administration Medical Centers in Washington, DC.
Dr. Stern has been named a “Top Doctor” in Gastroenterology, in the Washingtonian Magazine. He was a former President of the Montgomery County Medical Society and Trustee of Med Chi, the Maryland State Medical Society and is currently the American College of Gastroenterology Governor for Maryland.
Dr. Stern specializes in all areas of Gastroenterology, Digestive and Liver diseases. His practice treats all aspects of Colon Cancer Screening, Ulcer Disease, Reflux (GERD), Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Hepatitis, Gall Bladder and Pancreatic diseases. He is proficient in colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and capsule endoscopy of the small bowel.
While away from work, Dr. Stern is an avid reader and bicyclist. He and his wife recently rode a tandem in a 200 mile charity ride for the Alyn Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital.
