Craig J. Cender, MD
Dr. Cender is a native of Florida who relocated to Asheville, NC and joined AGA in 2004 after completion of his training in Chapel Hill, NC. He pursued subspecialty training in a combined program of pediatric and adult gastroenterology as well as advanced therapeutic endoscopy while at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His outside interests include music, computers, mountain biking, and devoting time to his family and faith.
David T. May, MD
Dr. May joined Asheville Gastroenterology Associates in the summer of 1999 after completing his gastroenterology fellowship and internal medicine residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He obtained his medical degree from the UNC-CH where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. His interests are general gastroenterology and endoscopic ultrasound. His outside interests include running, fishing, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Rodney A. Perez, MD
Dr. Perez has been with Asheville Gastroenterology Associates since July 2000 and has served as the Medical Director of The Endoscopy Center since 2003. His practice includes all areas of general gastroenterology with an emphasis on therapeutic endoscopy.
Kisha T. Weiser, MD, MPH
Dr. Weiser received her B.A. with high honors in Hispanic Literature in 1995 from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. She then went on to complete her M.D. at Dartmouth Medical School in 2000. After finishing her internal medicine at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, she returned to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to complete a residency in Preventive Medicine with a focus on quality improvement and health outcome and obtain her Masters in Public Health as well as her fellowship in Gastroenterology. In 2008-2009 she was Assistant Professor at Dartmouth Hitchcock and the VA at White River Junction in Vermont.
