Loren B White, M.D.
Dr. Loren WhiteAfter becoming a registered pharmacist in 1971, Dr. Loren White earned his medical degree from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 1974. Dr. White joined Northwest Gastroenterologists in 1980 following completion of his internship, residency and GI fellowship at the University of Illinois. He brings nearly thirty years of experience and knowledge of advanced medical therapy to his GI practice. Dr. White is committed to his ongoing Continuing Medical Education and takes pride in patient education and cooperation within the physician-patient relationship in disease prevention and self-care.

Michael E Cohen, M.D.
Dr. Michael Cohen Dr. Michael Cohen received his medical degree with honors from Northwestern University in 1984 followed by internship and residency. After completing his GI fellowship (colon cancer research) at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL in 1989, Dr. Cohen joined Northwest Gastroenterologists, S.C. Dr. Cohen is actively involved in the American Cancer Society and promotes colon cancer screening and prevention through community lectures. Dr. Cohen is married and has 3 children.

Dr. David Sales
Dr. Sales Dr. David Sales, a PhD in biochemistry, received his MD with honors from the University of Chicago Medical School in 1977. He completed internship, residency and GI fellowship at the University of Chicago in 1982. When he joined the Northwest Gastroenterologists, S.C. family in 1982, Dr. Sales brought with him educational, training and public speaking skills. He is a fellow of both ACG and AGA. He is chairman of the Chapter Medical Advisory Committee of the Crohn�s and Colitis Foundation of America, and has been listed in all three editions of Castle Connolly Guide to the Top Doctors in the Chicago Metro Area. Dr. Mitchell B. Bernsen
Dr. Bernsen Dr. Mitchell B. Bernsen received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in 1990 and completed his internship, residency and Chief Residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke�s Medical Center in Chicago. He then finished his GI fellowship at Loyola University of Chicago in 1996. Dr. Bernsen lectures within the community and is an expert speaker for the American Cancer Society discussing topics that include Colon Cancer Screening. His other special interests are in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease and medical weight management. Dr. Bernsen is married and has two daughters.

Dr. Joel M. Lattin
Dr. Lattin Joel M. Lattin graduated from University of Michigan in 1995 with a B.S. in Psychology and received his D.O. from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1999. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine as well as his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Botsford General Hospital � Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1999 through 2005. He holds membership in many professional societies, including American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology and the American Osteopathic Association. His practice encompasses all aspects of Gastroenterology. Dr. Lattin enjoys running and skiing. He is married and resides in Chicago.
