Alexander Shpaner, MD
Dr. Shpaner obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology from UCLA, and graduated from UCSD School of Medicine. He trained in Internal Medicine at the UCLA-VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare Program. Later, he completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and trained at the World-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center.
His clinical interests include gastroesophageal reflux disease, dyspepsia, gastro-intestinal malignancies, pancreatico-biliary disorders and non-surgical hemorrhoid treatment.
Dr. Shpaner has written and published multiple articles and studies in both the American and International literature, and has been invited to speak on various GI topics.
Dr Shpaner is Board Certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
He is fluent in Russian.
