CRH O'Regan System - Non-Surgical Hemorrhoid Removal

About Our Services

Our partner physicians are dedicated to the minimally invasive treatment of hemorrhoids.  Since patients may present with both hemorrhoids and anal fissures, the treatment for anal fissures is a natural adjunct to our services.  Following the resolution of these conditions, we offer colorectal cancer screenings to ensure that this life-threatening disease is not an underlying cause of bleeding.  When indicated, a recommendation for colonoscopy or other diagnostic studies will be made for your patients as well.

Hemorrhoids

  • Consultation, diagnosis and evaluation of treatment options via patient history, digital rectal exam and anoscopy or sigmoidoscopy (100% disposable scope).  Some patients will have colonoscopy recommended as well.
  • In-office treatment of hemorrhoids with the CRH O’Regan System.

Anal Fissures

  • Consultation, diagnosis and evaluation of treatment options via patient history, visual examination and ansocopic or proctoscopic examination (disposable instrument).  Some patients will have colonoscopy recommended as well.
  • Treatment of acute and chronic fissures with topical treatments including nitroglycerin ointment (various concentrations used) and supplemental care guidance.  More complicated cases may have other treatments recommended as well.

Colorectal Cancer

  • Evaluation of whether patient meets American Cancer Society screening guidelines.
  • Annual screenings via a fecal occult blood test (FOBT), performance of or referral for colonoscopy if warranted.

We believe there are four main advantages to the care we provide.

Specialists Who Understand

Because of the location of colorectal problems, many people hesitate to seek medical attention. We understand this awkwardness. Our physicians' goal is to immediately put patients at ease with their caring, professional staff and their extensive knowledge of colorectal health.

Diagnostic Excellence

Anal pain, itching and bleeding are all symptoms of multiple conditions. Our partner physicians are experts at correctly diagnosing the problem, or in some cases, problems. With hemorrhoids, anal fissures and colorectal cancer, it's possible to have more than one condition at a time

Single Use, Disposable Instrumentation

Other hemorrhoid removal procedures rely upon re-usable instrumentation, which, if not properly cleaned, can allow for the transfer of blood borne pathogens such as hepatitis B, C or HIV.  Our single use, disposable system eliminates the risk of cross-patient infection.

Gentler, Safer Technique

Our smaller, patented instruments afford greater comfort for patients and greater ease of use for physicians.  Instead of metal-toothed forceps or wall suction, we use a plunger suction device to gently capture the hemorrhoid tissue, thus reducing the risk of pain and bleeding.
